About us
Finance for Helpers (FFH) aims to empower women and migrant workers in Hong Kong by equipping them with crucial financial literacy, allowing them to start saving their earnings and ultimately achieve financial independence.
In Hong Kong, migrant workers comprise 10% of the population, with over 400,000 individuals hailing from abroad. Among them, approximately 60% are Filipino nationals, while the remaining 40% come from Indonesia and other countries.
Our Story
Finance for Helpers (FFH), established in 2024 by Tiara John, emerged from her deep compassion and commitment to empowering vulnerable women. Motivated by her grandmother’s experiences with illiteracy and financial difficulties, Tiara developed a platform aimed at providing female domestic helpers with crucial financial skills— including saving, money management, and scam awareness—enabling them to build a brighter and more promising future for themselves and their families.

In 2025, Tiara collaborated with fellow students to expand FFH's reach, aiming to impact the lives of more female workers. The primary goal of FFH is to educate and provide essential financial information to vulnerable helpers, empowering them to save for the future and achieve financial independence.
​In addition to educating helpers, FFH volunteers organize various skill development activities for helpers including cooking classes, swimming lessons, arts and crafts, and other practical skills that can enhance their confidence and independence. As part of our ongoing journey, we aim to provide free online tutoring for children of our migrant helpers, giving them an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and become bright, empowered citizens of the future.
All our resources are free of cost and open to all female migrant helpers.

How We Do It
MHMM provides free resources and workshops, both online and in-person, where we introduce you to the fundamentals of financial management. Additionally, we offer complimentary skill-upgrading workshops to help you enhance your abilities and confidence.
